This was a group project in the form of a simulation of a video game project done as part of our formation at UQAT in 2023.
In this project, our team of 8 had a few weeks to create a playable game demo inspired by the DOOM franchise in Unreal Engine 5 using Perforce and an iterative workflow. In this project, I served as the role of an environment artist and a Level artist. I worked closely with the level designer as well as the other artists.
My responsibilities during the production phase included setting up and respecting a modular system, editing other artists' 3D models to ensure they respected our modular system and were optimized, importing assets into Unreal Engine, creating the environment according to the level design, learning and implementing features into our workflow such as vertex painting, assisting my teammates, providing constructive feedback, and creating most of the environmental assets such as 3D models, tileable textures, materials, and VFX.
The design and programming team consisted of Vincent Nadeau, Camille Boudreault, Sasha Fortier, Caroline Forget, and Audrey Langlois.
The art team consisted of Raphaëlle Raymond, Alex Savoie Laflamme, and myself. Jessica Bonhomme was also part of the art team until a few weeks into the production as well as Cameron Lamoureux until the end of the preproduction.
